Modular Extender Cable

Application

Industrial Extender Cables are designed to increase the length of any Plug-N-Go cable when required due to last minute project changes or equipment relocations. Extender Cables are also used to distribute power between Plug-N-Go Switch Modules in all switching applications.

Additional Information

  • The Extender Cable consists of three, four or five #12 AWG copper conductors in a flexible metal jacket with a male line side connector and a female load side connector. Extender Cable connectors provide recessed electrical terminals that result in a dead front design for added safety. All connectors are color coded for easy voltage identification and are keyed to allow mating connections only with components of the same voltage. Secure connections are assured by locking clips on the component rear cup assemblies which prevent accidental disconnection. Cable length is based on project requirements.

  • The Extender Cable's primary functions are to extend Plug-N-Go cable lengths as required and to carry unswitched power between Switch Modules.

NOTE: Extender Cables are manufactured using type MC cable with #12 AWG copper conductors and 90°C insulation and should be supported in accordance with National Electrical Code requirements.
